Studio Handbook Policy

Where music takes root, and every student can grow.

Welcome

Thank you for choosing The Music Nest LLC! Our goal is to provide a warm, encouraging, Christ-centered environment where students of all ages develop musical skills, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of music.

Programs

Private piano lessons are offered, with instruction in note reading, chord playing, and playing by ear. Additional classes may include Mommy & Me (Infant–4), preschool music, group classes, camps, and workshops.

Tuition

Tuition reserves your weekly lesson time rather than paying for individual lessons. Monthly tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Automatic payment is encouraged. A 10% sibling discount is available.

Attendance

Please arrive on time. Students arriving late will receive the remainder of their scheduled lesson. Excessive tardiness may result in loss of the reserved lesson time.

Missed Lessons

Because each lesson time is reserved exclusively for your family, missed lessons are generally not refundable. When adequate notice is provided, one make-up lesson may be offered each semester as scheduling permits.

Practice Expectations

Consistent practice is essential. Younger students should practice with a parent when possible. Daily practice, even for short periods, is more effective than occasional long sessions.

Parent Involvement

Parents are encouraged to stay informed of assignments and celebrate progress. Parents of young beginners may be invited to attend lessons. All parents are welcome to sit in during lessons.

Recitals & Events

Students are encouraged to participate in recitals and studio events. Participation builds confidence and performance skills.

Communication

Email, text, or the student management portal will be used for announcements, invoices, scheduling, and reminders.

Inclement Weather

If lessons are canceled due to severe weather or instructor illness, make-up lessons or online lessons will be offered whenever possible.

Media Release

Photos and short videos may occasionally be used for studio marketing and social media unless a parent or student requests in writing that they not be used.

Discontinuing Lessons

Please provide at least 30 days' written notice before discontinuing lessons. Tuition already paid is non-refundable.
